OMG! This book is hilarious. Just when you think Donny can’t get in any deeper, he does! Not too many books make me laugh out loud 😆–“Melba”, Artist

This is one of the most enjoyable books that I’ve read recently. There are very few stories that make me laugh out loud!
Being born and raised in Hamilton myself, it was so memorable to remember and imagine the settings mentioned throughout the book. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good read.
Thanks for this creative, funny and action packed story Dave!

This book is very entertaining and every chapter leaves you wanting to know what is going to happen next. You feel the emotional turmoil the main character goes through and can relate to the situations that his gotten himself into.

A friend turned me on to this coming of age book about Donny Love and his long lost pals living in an industrial steel town. I can’t really put my finger on why I related so well to the entire cast of characters and how they warmed and fuzzied me up inside. Maybe because deep down all of us know that we are not truly “grown up” at any age, and these guys expose this fact. “Making Steven Famous” grabbed me from the get-go and never let up! The tension never lagged in the way most movies and books inevitably seem to do–zero fat! Every time I picked up the book I went expecting laughs and to find out what the hell was going to happen next–I got both every time. Don’t miss out on this exceptional read.

Love Love Love This Book!
I enjoyed this second installment of the Steeltown Chronicles series even more than the first, Making Steven Famous. The protagonist, Norbie Reingruber, is a totally lovable super-nerd, and the way he triumphs over a ludicrous super-villain will leave you laughing your face off! This novel has heart and humour. Dave Walker has done it again, and I can’t wait to read the next in the series! Highly recommended!

Making Steven Famous is a well-written and entertaining book by Hamilton, ON-native Dave Walker. The characters are true-to-life and the novel speaks to the dreamer in all of us – and to the temptation to seem just a little more important than we really are. It’s a fun, light-hearted read with a few serious messages about what really matters in the end. I enjoyed the book and would highly recommend it.
